What is your return/exchange policy?
If you're not happy with your purchase, we're not happy and we will make it right. You can return your item to us no more than 30 days after the time of purchase. Modified or altered item cannot be returned or exchanged, not any custom or special order items. Sizing fees and shipping are a non-refundable service. What warranties do you offer?
Diamond Warranty - We provide a 1 year repair warranty for any diamond. The item cannot be altered or worked on unless Richmond Gold & Diamond approves it.
Jewelry Warranty - We provide a 1 year warranty on jewelry. This warranty covers any defects in material or workmanship and includes any repair work necessary to bring the jewelry back to original condition. This warranty does not cover any damage to the jewelry due to misuse or neglect. Please contact us before sending any items for repair.
What is your trade-in policy?
We accept any Richmond Gold & Diamond Jewelers jewelry item as a trade-in toward a new jewelry purchase of at least twice its purchase price. That means you receive full credit for what you paid for your original purchase applied in trade toward a new diamond or piece of diamond jewelry of double its value or more.
Should I insure my fine jewelry?
While Richmond Gold & Diamond provides a year warranty against defects in material or workmanship for all of the jewelry you purchase from our store, we also strongly recommend having your jewelry insured against theft, unusual damage, complete loss or other issues not covered under your our warranty. Your jewelry can be added to your homeowner’s or renter’s insurance policy, or you can go through a specialty insurer such as Jewelers Mutual Insurance Company (www.jewelersmutual.com)
Why is my white gold turning yellow?
Pure gold in its raw 24K state comes out of the ground yellow. Whitening alloys are added to give white gold its signature color. (For example, in an 18K ring, 18 parts are gold and 6 parts are alloys.) Over time, white gold can "warm up" and take on a slightly yellow tinge.
